Error 3005 is a general error message. Clear your temporary internet history from your browser, restart your computer, then try again. Instructions on clearing your cookies and cache are linked to below
Windows 7 ~ http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Delete-temporary-Internet-files
Vista ~ http://www.ehow.com/topic_254_computer-cookies.html
XP ~ http://www.ehow.com/how_2293053_clear-cache-windows-xp.html
Post back to let us know if that worked, if it doesnt, we'll try some of the other less common fixes

Ok, well we've another common trouble shoot we can try, thats re-adding your ebay account to paypal, do that by
1. Log in to your PayPal account at www.paypal.co.uk
2. Click ‘Profile’ at the top of the page
3. Click ‘Auctions’ located under ‘Selling Preferences’
4. Click ‘Add’
5. Enter your eBay User ID and password. (This is different from your PayPal username and password)
6. Click ‘Add’
If that doesnt work, paypal_wayne or one of the other paypal staffers will be able to give you further suggestions

Hi brisafc70,
It sounds as though it could be an issue with the integration between PayPal and eBay when you are trying to complete the checkout for the item that you have purchased. What you can try and do to send this payment is to send the payment directly from your PayPal account.
Before you try to send the payment, you should ensure that your eBay user id is registered on your PayPal account.
Here's how to add a new eBay User ID to your PayPal account:
1. Log in to your account at www.paypal.co.uk
2. Click on ‘Profile’ near the top of the page.
3. Click ‘Auctions’ in the Selling Preferences column.
4. Click ‘Add’.
5. Enter your eBay User ID and password.
6. Click ‘Add’.
Once you are sure that the correct user id is registered on your PayPal account, you can then try and send the payment directly from your PayPal account.
To send money, simply follow these steps:
- Go to the PayPal website and log in to your account.
- Click "Send Money" at the top of the page.
- Select "eBay Items" under Purchase.
- Click "click here" at the bottom of the page.
- Click "Pay" next to the item you are paying.
- If you win multiple items from the same seller, all items in the same currency will be listed.
- Enter payment information and click "Continue." Please Note: Postage is a required field. If you have an offer of free delivery, enter a zero amount.
- Click "Send Money."
Hopefully this should assist your payment completing for your recent eBay purchase. If you are still unable to make the payment, you should also ask your seller to send you a payment request and this could also assist the payment in completing.
If you are still facing difficulties, let us know on this topic and we can investigate it further for you offline
David
