Buyer spelt my name wrong

Hi,

Currently I have a pending payment from a buyer on Gumtree.

Partially because of my fault I forgot to tell her my name while she asked my paypal email address.

She sent a pending payment to my paypal email address, however under someone else's name.

Does it affect whether I'm able to receive my money?

I've contacted her also paypal see if they can correct the mistake, still waiting for the answer.

Just want to know if anyone has similar experience and how is it going to affect the payment?

Hi glorialee724,

Your payment should not be affected if your name is spelt incorrectly. If you have provided the correct email address then the payment will be automatically added to your PayPal account as it is only the email address needed to send and receive your payment.
