Two consecutive 72 hour waits

I withdrew some money the other day and had to wait the 72 hours. It cleared on the minute ( how strange ?!!! )

I've just been paid again through Ebay and received a message that i have to wait 72 hours again...so i cancelled it.

Is there anyway this resolves itself in the next day or so and i can attempt a withdrawal and see the usual 2 hour message ?

Two on the trot is ridiculous  - we're consistently fed the line that this is random or consistent hold ups will not happen.

This 72 hour rule for " security reasons " is such an obvious con it's ridiculous. Why don't they say " Our commission for handling your money is not enough for our deep pockets so we'd like to keep your money as long as possible "

If there was the odd occasion that the money cleared after, say, 28 of the 72 hours then it would be less disagreeable, but it's always the full 72 hours.

I'd like my money please, Paypal.

When a buyer pays then paypal credit you the buyers money in advance whilst they are waiting for the funds to play catch up from the buyers funding source.

So if you withdraw that money instantly its paypals money you are withdrawing and I reckon the hold is there to allow time for the buyers funds to clear through to paypal.

The reason I think this is that I used to get the 72 hour hold, but then I stopped withdrawing instantly and just did it x1 per month and never got the hold again.
