PayPal Bus. Access Card

Hello,

I've just applied for my PayPal business access card and hopefully it should be approved and arrive soon.

I have a query about balances in other currencies (other than GBP).

I have a balance in EURO and would like to know:

1. If I use my card for a purchase in EURO (from a EURO website for example), will the amount be taken from my EURO balance?  If so - will I still be charged a 2.3% (I think it was that, but not totally sure) charge for a foreign payment?

OR

Will it just convert my GBP into the EURO amount, then charge me additional fees?

I'm also looking for the answer to this question. I have a Paypal Access Card and would like to use my card abroad in the United States. If I purchase items locally there will it deduct this from my USD Paypal balance automatically without deducted a foreign exchange fee ?

I have a Paypal Premier Account.

Can someone from Paypal please advise - it's a simple question!

To be absolutely clear, suppose in my Paypal account I have £200 and US$130 held in those currencies. Then I go to the United States and eat at a restaurant where I pay for US$20 using my Paypal Access Card.

Does my balance become £200 + US$110 ?

Hi there loginid & XGC53,

Apologies, we work as moderators on the community forum so if you need an answer immediately you would need to email customer service. 

As far as I am aware however the PayPal access card works with a GBP balance only so your PayPal balance need to be in GBP for your payment to complete.

The foreign exchange fee however is 2.75%, for clarification on the currency question you would need to contact the card issuer PrePay Solutions on +44 (0)845 505 8801.
