I've always had problems with making with making a withdrawal but looking back, since becoming Top Rated it's becoming virtually impossible to withdraw the funds! A standard withdrawal in my experience has never taken more than 4 working days, if I'm lucky maybe 3 but that's extremely rare.
I've read in many posts to allow 5 working days (worse case scenario). However, I withdrew £300 on the 1st Feb and it still isn't in my bank account today, obviously 5 working days doesn't apply to all.
A withdrawal I made on the 2nd hasn't hit my account today (4th working day). Plus I made a wire transfer on the 6th, expecting it today .... nope nada!
I finally lost my patience with it all today so I called PayPal. Apparently the withdrawals I made on the 1st and 2nd didn't complete until yesterday. Bearing in mind those were 'standard' withdrawals. Surprise, surprise the wire transfer I made on the 6th has gone into 'security review'
I don't know whether I'm being targeted solely or what, but it's every time I withdraw. I'm running a company, I hold a verified business Premier account - yes, I have numerous payments coming through every day - and thus reflects the amounts I withdraw to keep my cashflow healthy. This so called 'unusual pattern' is really wearing thin now.
I have a very clean record, no chargebacks etc etc.
I have just short of £1,600 floating away up there.... somewhere but meanwhile I have to fulfil orders - replenish stock, post to customers, and pay my bills!!!
Are PayPal trying to destroy everyone's business??
At least with Amazon you know that the funds are remitted every 2 weeks. It might even help if PayPal had the decency to let you know that they're going to hold your funds for a little longer, surely?
To say I am extremely annoyed is an understatement!!

Hi tazmaz,
I am sorry to hear that your withdrawals are being delayed. Let me assure you that this it is not just your account that is liable for withdrawal reviews, however it does seem strange that all of your withdrawals would be held. Have you contacted us to see if your account can be reviewed to ensure that there are no issues or technical issues on your PayPal account ?.
Can you respond to my post with an update.

The transfers came through in the end! I spoke to PayPal and they said there is nothing that they can do to prevent my withdrawals being held this way as its the security systems.
Not too sure I believe this, especially as you're telling me the account can be reviewed for issues / technical problems!
I made a big complaint last week, touch wood my withdrawals have been ok (so far so good)

Each withdrawal would be subject to an automated review, literally a mathematical formula, that will determine if there will be a delay and how long it will take. No one in customer service will be able to do anything about this, complaint or no complaint.
If your withdrawals are no longer being held that would probably just mean the system has recognised that there have been no problems with your account and it has no reason to hold withdrawals.
