I'm having the same problem. When on "Add Funds" there is no facility to Transfer - the system just gives me the option to add a new bank account - which I don't wish to do, that's already set up.  Can anyone help please?

Hey there,

Twedsybabes, you need to click on add funds, not request money.

Here’s how to add funds:

1. Log in to your PayPal account at www.paypal.co.uk
2. Click ‘Add Funds’ near the top of the page.
3. Click ‘Transfer Funds from a Bank Account in the United Kingdom’.
4. Select the bank account you wish to add funds from.
5. Enter the amount you wish to add.
6. Click ‘Continue.’
7. Review the details and click ‘Submit.’
8. Click ‘View the details of this transaction’ to see the expected clearing date for the funds transfer.

Davidj, if its asking you to add a bank account, there seems to be something wrong with the information you have already entered.

Maybe you haven’t confirmed your bank account, or maybe you just have a debit card added and not the bank account.

Hi

I have the same problem as those in this thread and your solution does not resolve the problem.  After clicking 'Add Funds' there is no option to transfer funds this is the message that appears:

"Add Funds to Your PayPal Account

For flexibility and more control over your spending, you can add funds to
your PayPal account.

There is no charge for this service and you can continue to use your PayPal
account while you're waiting for the funds to clear.

PayPal moves money from your bank account

PayPal debits money from your bank account through a direct debit you set up
with us.

  • PayPal obtains the funds from your bank account through direct debit.
  • The funds should be available in your PayPal account within 5-7 working
    days."

In my profile I have a bank account set up so I do not need to add a new one I just need funds transferred from my bank account to my paypal account.  Please respond asap as I need to refund a customer on ebay!!

Please see my previous post:

I was contacted today and had to remove my bank account and add it again and they will put the 2 deposits in my account within 2-3 working days which I need to re-enter in paypal and then I should be able to transfer funds from my bank account to my paypal account- I had already done this when I set it up so I'm not confident this will fix the problem but we shall see!

Hi all,

@ pamela753 - The two deposits once entered will confirm your bank (it means it will be available as a funding source, so you will be to add funds to fund your refund)

@ ticketty-boo - You need to begin the process pamela753 seems to be in the middle of. It confirms your bank account, the steps are below:

Here’s how to confirm your bank account:

1. Go to www.paypal.co.uk and log in to your account.
2. Click ‘Profile’ near the top of the page.
3. Click 'My money'.
4. In the Bank accounts section click 'Update'.
5. Click ‘Confirm’ next to the bank account you want to confirm.
6. Click the 'Set up Direct Debit' button.
7. The next page will display your bank details. Enter the full address of your bank account, then click ‘Submit'.

Once you've clicked 'Submit', we'll send two random deposits (both between 1p and 99p) to your bank account. These deposits are at our expense and you'll find them on your online bank statement within two to three working days, or on your next paper statement

@ jayeff  - There is no way to transfer funds without adding your bank account I'm afraid.

I hope this helps

Wayne
