Small Name Change

Hi, I recently signed up to Paypal. And I put my name as Chris, when my full name is Christopher. I didn't realise until after I entered Chris that it needs the same name as my bank account or it won't go through properly. What can I do about this?
And how will it affect me? As all I want to do with this account is to buy things off of Ebay and Steam.

Hi there MrGreenYeti,

If there is only a minor difference as in your situation, I don't think there should be an issue if you try to confirm your bank account or credit/debit card.

I would advise however that before you try to complete the verification process, you let your bank or credit card company know how your name is registered on PayPal so that they are aware that we may try to debit the funds from your account using the name that is registered on your PayPal account.

A lot of the time, a bank may only refuse the information if we are trying to debit the funds using your initials or a completly different name.
