Chekout carts - generic email acknowledgement?

Hello there, I just wanted to know if it is at all possible for a confirmation email to be sent as people checkout with paypal?

I sell a lot of items weekly meaning it's not possible to personally acknowledge every sale.

Ideally I'd like it as people buy now with paypal and checkout, they receive a notification mail from my company tied in with the checkout. As they checkout a mail goes through to them as well. Acknowledging their order. Customised or just a "thankyou for your order, please allow ....."

I can't see any option to add it anywhere on the buttons. Is there a way?

I know when I buy things with paypal on a range of sitesI'll get the standard paypal transaction email through but also get one from the business at the same time (usually generic sent as someone pays). It's never been an issue beforebut I'm finding people frequently mailing me asking if I got the order "as I never received notification etc".

Any help with this would be brilliant.

Hi there Acidrambler,

As far as I am aware this may be something that you might have to have intigrated directly on your website. I am not completly sure if there is anything that you can do on the PayPal or eBay website in order to send an automatic email once a payment has been received.

My best advice for you would be to visit our merchant technical support website. By going here, you can submit a ticket to our technical team and they can investigate this on your behalf. They will then get back to you and tell you exactly how you can have an automatic email sent to buyers when an item is purchased from you.
