The first thing you need to do is report the payments as this will begin our investigation into the payments.
Once you have submitted the report this is what happens next:
• We'll let you know that we are investigating this issue
• We'll finish our investigation within 24-72 hours. If we find the transaction is unauthorised, we'll refund the entire amount.
Note: The following are not considered unauthorised payments:
• A payment made by a family member who has access to your account
• A payment you made that you would like to dispute.
• A subscription payment that you initiated but would now like to cancel.
Your fist step -
If you are able to log in to your account:
1. Log in to your account at www.paypal.co.uk
2. Click 'Resolution Centre' at the top of your Account Overview page.
3. Click the orange ‘Dispute a Transaction’ button.
4. Select 'Unauthorised transaction' and click 'Continue'.
5. The following screen is for reporting the transaction IDs of any unauthorised payments that may have occurred, if there were none please click ‘Continue’.
6. Complete the form and click ‘Continue’.
7. Confirm that the data is correct and click ‘Submit’.
If you are unable to log in to your account:
1. Visit www.paypal.co.uk
2. Click 'Safety Advice' near the top of the page.
3. Click 'issue with my account' in the middle of the page.
4. Click 'Someone else is using my account'.
5. Click 'Continue' under 'Unable to log in?'
6. Read the information and click 'Continue' at the bottom of the page.
7. Complete the report and click 'Preview'.
8. Check the box to accept the claim is accurate and click 'Submit'.
9. Confirm your account ownership by entering the financial information requested, and click 'Continue'.
