cant log in and paypal wont help

Hello, I cant login to paypal with my usual account so ive had to create this one just so i can post this. ive emailed paypal and recived totally useless email that wasnt related to what i asked and then phoned paypal. Over the phone i was told There's a £7 discrepancy on my account. They dont know what its from. I offered to pay the £7 and the person on the phone said we need to find out what the £7 is for and said someone will be in touch with me within 48 hours. Its now 6 weeks later and ive heared nothing. I can send more emails which i already know is useless. If i phone them I'll have to go through the the whole thing again and i'll still be in the same boat. Is there and email or phone number for paypal where they will actually help

As you havementioned, your account has been hacked. So it's possible that they were the ones responsible for the discrepancy. My account was hacked as well. I filed a dispute since I was able to regain access but the hackers were wise enough to get through my account even after password change and security questions changed so they went off and closed the dispute. Im at total loss too at what to do with the $150.00 that was lost in my account. Im sorry I cant give you any solution, Im just feeling your sentiments. KNOWING that it would take them forever to answer email disputes and inquries and I would just spend too much for long distance calls for no resolution to my issue.

 

Paypal Admin.. Can you please help us out?

Hi Andy72, 

 

From reading your post you say there is a discrepany on your account of £7.00 that you offered to pay. Am I to understand when you say decrepancy you are refering to a negative balance on your account. If this is the case it may explain why you cannot log in to your PayPal account. When an account has a negative balance on it for some time the account becomes locked and you are unable to log in to it. 

 

I understand that you have contacted us already however if the account is locked you will need to contact us to have the account returned to its normal standing.
