I have recently looked at my bank statement and noticed a transaction labelled "Direct Debit Paypal Payment", I never agreed to any direct debit, I have reported it to my bank. However, when I look at my Paypal transaction statement, this direct debit transaction does not appear.
Has this happened to anyone else?

"We" are not doing anything, this is a user to user forum and not paypal customer services.
Have you added your bank account to your paypal account? If so then you have set up a direct debit mandate as that is how your payment to sellers is funded via a bank account.
Click on the history tab in your paypal account and you may find the transaction.
