I've just checked my PayPal account and I've got somebody else's email account set to  primary on my account and cannot remove it.

I've had a payment waiting to go into PayPal for over a 9 days now and its being refused from my account even though it shows its been taken out my bank.

Is there a way to contact PayPal to get this sorted out as i don't feel safe using my PayPal account if its got somebody else's email set to primary which isn't mine.

Hi Technika79,

Thank you for contacting the PayPal Community Forum and welcome as a new member!

In order to remove an email address from your PayPal account you will need to ensure your email is confirmed and marked as the primary contact.

  1. Go to www.paypal.com/uk and log in to your account.
  2. Click the Settings icon at the top of the page.
  3. Beside the email address you want to confirm, click Edit.
  4. Click Confirm this email and we'll send you an email.
  5. Click the link in the email to confirm your email address.

Once you have done this you should be able to receive the payments and remove the other email address. I would also recommend completing a full virus scan and changing the password and security questions on your PayPal account.
