I have used Paypal without problems for the last 10 years for modest Ebay purchases and sales as well as the odd charity donation - all without incident.
Yesterday I received an emaiol advising use of my account to purchase fuel from Shell in London ( 90 miles away!!). Not mine an i quered with PayPal and have received confirmation of a refund ( c£50 so not huge risk) - great so far.
I have changed my password.
But I don't know how it occured ?
What if I had not happened to log on and spotted it within minutes?
Does this mean someone has cloned a card with my details they can use in a filling station?
Ther is a link from my PayPal account to one of my bank accounts which I cannot cancel due to pending transactions.
Question - should I close my PayPal account now??
