I recently purchased an item via Depop which uses paypal to send and recieve money. I bought a pair of shoes from a lisitng ans shortly after the account blocked me. I carried out some research and it turns out that I have done buisness with the bloke before via his website simplicity clothing unlimited. This meant that I had contact with him through email and twitter. I opened a case on paypal to try and claim a refund which angered the man causing him to send be abusive messages, which I have proof of. Paypal said that my claim was not correct and they therefore closed it, which means that i now cant re open one in the correct manner. My question is, what do I do now and will I ever get my money back from paypal as I should have "buyer protection"?

Well it would help if you said what reason you gave for opening the dispute.
1. Non receipt of item.
2. Item received but not as described.
3. Unauthorised transaction.

Kudos / Solution appreciated.

Well ''fraudulent behaviour'' is not one of the 3 reasons that i asked you.
If you had opened a dispute for non receipt of item then if the seller did not refund you and you won the case, paypal would refund you under buyer protection so not sure why you were not refunded.

You should have come on here first for advice before filing a claim.
Your only hope now is IF you funded your paypal payment via a credit card (which personally i think everyone should) > then contact your card issuer and see if they will do a chargeback for you.
