Ok i can't seem to find a clear answer on the multiple security of paypal vs phone apps like ebay etc
Ive been using the second authorisation feature of a "security key" which is sent to my phone as a txt.
Had this on my paypal for years, to stop unwanted scams accessing my account.
Paypal give this 2nd authorisation feature on their PC website (i.e. you click a button to get a txt, u then enter the code and login in)
However, on other sites or phone apps. this 2nd authorisation feature is not shown. Ie for example the ebay app. therefore i have to use a PC to get in and pay for goods!
Why is this "2nd authorisation feature" not implemtated into other paypal logins or apps. not even the paypal mobile version of there site has it!
When using apps like ebay, I sometimes get another login screen which has a option to login with Phone number and pin. however this does not work either!
Yet my phone number is linked to me account and with a pin that is correctly setup!
By the looks of it, You can't have the sms security key enabled, and use the login with phone number & pin
So it leaves me thinking, inorder to use mobile apps / sites, i have to disable the security key sms feature i really want enabled!
Why is paypal not fixing or supporting the security key sms option on other login platforms??? espeically the EBAY app!!!
