This same thing had happened to me as a new seller on eBay! It happens to everyone who wishes to sell on their site because they want to make sure you are not out to rip people off! Let me warn you now, when you sell an item that is up closer to the hundred dollar range (if you haven't already) they may want to hold your $$ from the sale for up to 30 days after the buyer recieves the item! They do this, again, to make sure that what you are selling is actually what you are selling and to make sure it wont have to come out of their pocket when the buyer says the item didnt arrive or it's not what was listed or that it was fake and wants a refund! It can come as a shock but they have the right! After all you are using thier site to sell on! As for the fees, Yeah that part sucks, like life, everyone wants thier part of your money! You have to take that thought into account before listing an item and pricing it... I like selling a whole lot of small things for nearly nothing then to sell one big thing for a whole lot and having to wait forever to sell it. The fees seem small that way too!
