WOW!,That is horrible! I do wish you luck on the next! I agree you should call paypal back and get a better answer! They shold make the buyer account in debt to them instead of expcting you to be in debt and with out your item. Regardless. As for me, I do get and see the emails and I always make sure that I get them when an item sells, but I do go to ebay first and se that the item has sold there in my seller account first. this way I know it did sell! I always have a tab with my email up and one for ebay and another for paypal so I just click over through each to see that all is in place, then I print the label through ebay (for the little discount) cause they will tell you not to ship if a payment hasn't been made. Pay pal shouldn't hold you to the debt. They really should hold the person who used the bad card responsible for it. I mean heck, they do have all of that persons info and could take the proper legal actions on them for it. That is really sad. ... View more

Oh, I forgot to say that at least you don't have to pay the fees right away. Well paypal takes there fee right out of the money that comes in and ebay will bill you with a monthly invoice to pay your seller fees for the entire month (I like to go in and make the "one time payment" method for and after each item sells, this way I don't have another bill to pay each month and they can have their little part of each sale I do right away! So at least there is no out of pocket cost to you to wait for your money.. Only the shipping if you dont use ebay or paypal's shipping label feature.. And as for the limits on your seller account they will increase and you will build trust with ebay and paypal and will be allowed to use thier money and site and payment method to move more money to your bank account! I have a Pay pal prepaid card and a bank linked to my account so that I don't have to wait for my money! I move it right to my card and it's there in real time, as soon as I click the button saying I want to move it! I'll shut up now!! ... View more

This same thing had happened to me as a new seller on eBay! It happens to everyone who wishes to sell on their site because they want to make sure you are not out to rip people off! Let me warn you now, when you sell an item that is up closer to the hundred dollar range (if you haven't already) they may want to hold your $$ from the sale for up to 30 days after the buyer recieves the item! They do this, again, to make sure that what you are selling is actually what you are selling and to make sure it wont have to come out of their pocket when the buyer says the item didnt arrive or it's not what was listed or that it was fake and wants a refund! It can come as a shock but they have the right! After all you are using thier site to sell on! As for the fees, Yeah that part sucks, like life, everyone wants thier part of your money! You have to take that thought into account before listing an item and pricing it... I like selling a whole lot of small things for nearly nothing then to sell one big thing for a whole lot and having to wait forever to sell it. The fees seem small that way too! Good Luck and hang in there!! ... View more

When you sell on eBay, you will complete your profile information and there somewhere on that page it should have your seller info/profile info. It will ask you there on that page your paypal/email address, so they know where to put the $$. I don't know about facebk, I'd just use the paypal.me link and have someone submit payment like that. I'm sure that if you get adventurous on the pages you are trying to sell from you should be able to find the spots to input your info to collect money as a seller! Hope this helps a little, Good Luck!! ... View more

Refunding a buyer on eBay

Ok, My question concerns this: I have been a seller on eBay for about a year now and this is my first refund I've ever experienced! I sold an item on eBay and the buyer contacted me cause they changed their mind or something, within the 30 day period, so I accepted the return to initiate the refund, I now have the itm back and did my part on eBay so the buyer will get their money back. Today I got an email saying that the bank acccount conected to my pay pal account denied the transfer of funds for this refund. I got another email about an hour later saying that the refund was given to the buyer, from my paypal account in form of an e-check. My question is this, Paypal had an automatic hold on the amount of the refund. They do that as soon as the buyer says they want a refund, so why did they try to give the buyer money from my bank account, that I keep empty, instead of automatically giving the buyer the refund from the money they have been holding from my paypal account itself?? I ask this because it's been one of those weeks and I now have another refund I have to do for a buyer, on a more expensive item, but again, paypal or ebay had put an automatic hold on the amount that the refund is for. So when I click the button for them to give the money back to the buyer, will they try to issue the money from my bank account or will they hand over what they have been holding in my account?? I guess I'm asking WHY?, If anyone has any experience with this I'd be greatful! Thanks for reading and for your help!! ... View more
