"Technical Difficulties" when submitting "Confirm your Identity" info

I have a message in my profile that says I need to cofirm the details of my identity "To help prevent fraud, provide your legal name, date of birth, last 4 digits of your SSN, and your current address. Be sure to take action by Mar 15, 2018.". But everytime I fill out the information, I get an error message that says "Technical difficulties - try again later"

Meanwhile, I have a payment to a vendor that is currently on hold, and I don't know if it's connected to this because I can't get rid of the request because I keep getting the "technical difficulties" message.

Help!

I'm having the same problem.  Have tried multiple browsers on PC and mobile devices. Same result. Failure.

What will happen if PayPal's system wont complete the identity confirmation by 3/15/18?

Same problem -- can fill out the required info (SSN, DOB, address confirm, etc) dozens of times on different platforms and always a "Whoops something went wrong!" error message after hitting Submit.

And the Notifications prompt remains when logging on again so clearly the info is never sent properly.

Also phone support was a joke. Talked to two levels of customer service and they didn't really understand what I was talking about despite this obviously being something PayPal themselves have instituted as extra verification, not a hold on a specific account. Last guy claimed to be a tech specialist but he obviously couldn't fix the issue either.

Will be interesting to see what happens when March rolls around and they still haven't fixed this extremely annoying error loop...

I just tried it after many failed attempts in the past few weeks, and IT WORKED TODAY!!! No hitches, glitches, or failures!  Give it a try.  I was using Firefox browser, as always, so hopefully it works for everyone else. 🙂
