PayPal used wrong account number to deposit money

I asked PayPal to deposit money to mu bank account.  Instead of using my account number, PayPal used my ROUTING number so my bank rreturned the money as they had no matching acount number.  PayPal refuses to acknowledge that they made and error and insist it is my bank's problem to fix.   Repeating messages with PayPal have all been answered the same - PayPal refuses to accept it's their fault even they clrearly used the wrong number and refuses to do anything to help me.  Providing a so-called trace number is meaningless to my bank as they acknowledge the money was sent but they could not depoit it as they had no matching account to deposit it into.  PayPal caanot provide any evidence the tarnsaction was accepted by bank.  How do I get the funds that PayPal is effectively stealing from me?

Meanwhile I have filed complaints with the BBB and OH Attorney General's Office.

the bank routing number and account number you registered with Paypal,is that correct?

if it is a matter of transposing numbers, yours cant be the only one .

your deposit is sitting in some account to be sorted out, just whose account ??bank or Paypal.

It's Park National Bank affiliated.  PayPal did the usual deposit check when I opened my account years ago and never had this problem before.  It is clearly PayPal's problem as they tell me they deposited to to account xx77 which are the last two digits of my routing number.  My bank says they do not keep moeny for which they can't deposit and they returned it with a letter to PayPal which PayPal of course claims they never received.  My ssues is this is NOT my bank's fault, it is 100% PayPal's problem as they used the wrong informtion.  My bank also told me that they have had numerous issues in recent week of this same type with PayPal and that PayPal has been notoriously uncooperative.  Obviously this is a way for PayPal to make money!

I just want my money back so I can close my account and never use PayPal again!
