How do you do proof of address?

I  mean if you don't live in that country and you went there for a visit, how do you provide a proof of identitiy?

What address did you use when you opened your Australian PayPal account?

I think you have created a very serious situation for yourself.

When you phone PayPal agents many do not have the necessary knowledge to provide correct answers.  You'll probably have to persist with phone calls until you reach one who who knows to to verify your identity.  It will take a lot of patience, persistence, and diplomatic skills.   There is no way to predict a timely outcome, or even a good outcome.

So this was a cash advance from your credit card?

If so, that's a serious problem as it is a restricted activity for PayPal.

Here's the line from the restricted activities list:

• Provide yourself a cash advance from your credit card (or help others to do so).

Hopefully, then the passport documentation will be OK.

Paypal is country specific,you use the Paypal account in the country where you reside.

if you are visiting another country,and you cant use your paypal account,use your credit card outside Paypal.

if you want to open a paypal account in the country you are visiting,you must meet all the requirements like address,SS
