Can not change phone number for log in verification process

Hello,
A while back I changed my phone number and successfully changed my account to reflect the new number. My new number was verified and I deleted the old number. The issue is that at log in, step 2 of the verification process requires a text to be sent, however, it only lists my old number and not my new number. The old number is not reflected anywhere in my account settings other than the log in process. The work around is that I have to answer the security questions, which is less efficient. Does anyone know what I need to do to change the log in phone number? Does this require a call to PayPal?

With all specific account issues a phone call to PayPal customer support is always a good idea.
