Account limited although I uploaded identity proofs

A few months ago Paypal started sending me emails saying I have to upload proof of identity and address before a certain date or get my account limited. I uploaded my Photo ID as proof of identity and a credit card statement as proof of address. I also made sure the address is the same as the one on my paypal account. The page said the verification should take 2-3 days. Up until a week ago, I still always receive an email everytime I completed a paypal payment saying I should complete the identity confirmation process. Since I already completed this process, when I opened the page I can no longer edit or change anything on the page. It only shows that I have completed the process and wait until verification is completed. Things got weirder when suddenly I got an email saying my account was limited, even though that day was still long before the deadline set in the email requesting identity confirmation. I use paypal a lot for everyday uses so this is very troubling. I already emailed the compliance department trying to explain my situation, but the only few replies I received is the same standard email asking for identity confirmation, which, again, I cannot change anything about. Any suggestion?

It would help to have some background about which might have created the problem.

 

It seems like there is an issue with the documentation submitted and now PayPal needs to to a more thorugh investigation.

 

You could call PayPal customer service.

Did you finally get it resolved?

I am having the same problem. Also, Paypal allowed me to receive funds, but not to send or withdraw my money.

It is really annoying, I also use Paypal a lot.

Yeah it's resolved now after a few more emails to the compliance department. Just make sure that you've sent them everything they requested.

Hi, I have the same problem with you. 

its been 5 days I process my Proof of Identity and Proof of Address, I gave all the requirements they need.

and the address there is match on my paypal account. also I private message them on facebook and twitter.

but still there is no response from paypal.

How many days or weeks your account is back to normal?

PayPal will do an investigation of the documentation and situation.  There is no specified time frame for this.  You could phone PayPal customer service is you need immediate attention.

Hello, Thank you very much.. but still now paypal always asking for the proof of address for the 3rd time. I've sent 3rd time also for my PLDT internet bill and my address there is matched in my paypal account. I have my money hold there, is there any way you know how they will transfer? Thank you very much again..

Did you provide a utility bill showing your name and address?  The like to have a service bill that is directly related to your residential address.  Your bank account needs to be for your name and residential address.  PayPal will use various documents to attempt to verify that you actually do reside at your address.

You could check out yourself to see how easy it is to verify your address by doing a Google search to see what information you find.

How long have you lived at your current address?

PayPal will use various methods to verify your identity.

Here is a list of the document options you can send to help confirm your identity, address, and SSN:

 

Proof of Identity:
Driver’s license
Passport
State or Government issued ID


Proof of Address:
Utility Bill (as in electricity, gas, phone)
Bank Statement
Credit Card Statement


Proof of SSN:
Social Security Card or national ID card
Tax Return Documents
W2
Paycheck Stubs

Paypal has decided to annoy me. I have upload every detail they requested but still I have not received any feedback.  My account has been limited and now I cannot make any transaction, kindly help.
