4 digit number does not match - HELP!

Hello,

my name is Aurelija and I am a new member here! I just got my paypal account because I want to use it for ebay.com and i linked my account to my card. I have received the 4 digit number in my bank statement, I tried to confirm it on the website but it said the number is incorrect. I did not understand what happened. So afterwards they did not let me use that card. I deleted the account and created a new one - this one. Linked it to the card and am waiting for the new code. If the situation is the same again what should I do?

Is this an often occurance? 

Please help.

1. What country you are actually in.

2. What countries paypal account you have?

3. What countries card you are linking to that paypal account?

I have account on www.paypal.com

My card is hungarian and I am in Hungary

But what is the difference with this if i received the code but it doesnt match online or something? 😞

If you mean you have a U.S paypal account and live in Hungary then your card is never going to work.

You have to have a paypal account IN the country where you reside and add a card and bank account from within that country.

You are not allowed to have a U.S paypal account.

Oh i understand. Well when I type in paypal.com it automatically redirects in my browser to https://www.paypal.com/hu/home which is a hungarian redirection of some sorts. 

Also on the website they do not let me to switch countries or etc. so perhaps it will work this time.

If you open a paypal dispute in the wrong country then you have to close it and open one in your own country.

But you need to check first what countries paypal account you do have.

Sorry for all the question, but how do i excactly see the country of my account? Because all the options I can see on the website is URL, my country that I typed in, adress and personal info.
