Is there a way to have 2 different email adresses for receiving payments on the same paypal account ?
I have set up 2 addresses but when I use an email other than the primary email address to receive a payment, the primary email address still appears on the invoice of the payer.
Does it always have to show the primary email address on the payers invoice ?
If so then does that mean I have to set up a 2nd paypal account if I want a different email address to show ? and if I do that can I register the same card with the new paypal account ?
You can have up to eight email addresses associated with your account. Any address linked and confirmed can receive funds. As for the primary address being displayed in an invoice, there's no features or options to change that behavior.
Unfortunately you cannot use a bank account or credit card already in use with a new account.
So it doesn't matter how many email addresses I set up, it is only the primary email address that appears on the payers invoice and the only way to have different email addresses apearing on the invoice is to set up 2 paypal accounts with 2 separate bank acccounts.
I will just have to make my primary email address a generic one that could apply to both types of payment.
Not ideal but it looks like the only thing I can do.
Yep, it's a similar situation for folks who have multiple web sites and one business account. As the business name is displayed on the billing info, it's best to have a neutral business name or not specific to one item or web site. It just confuses your customers.
