Shipping Addresses

Whenever I make an online purchase using PayPal (regardless of merchant), I get a list of shipping addresses to choose from which I've used in the past but most of which are now obsolete.    The default address that appears at the top of the list is an address that I haven't used in years.  Is there a way to edit or clean up the default list of  shipping addresses?  I really only want my current address to appear and would like to delete all of the others.  I can't find any place to edit shipping addresses on the PayPal site.  Thanks.

It's little things like this (not being able to clean up old shipping addresses and not getting help from PayPal) that is causing PayPal to lose favor to other payment options.  The internet business if very fast moving and in 5 years we may not even remember what PayPal was.

I almost shipped something to the wrong address as well, since the default address was where I used to work 9 years ago.  I only have one address in my aypal account, and I've lived at my same house for 12 years, yet the default shipping address is an old work address that i think I used once, ever.   I can't believe they can't fix this - obviously it's been a problem going on for several years.

Same here folks....I remember running into this issue about a million years ago and was able to clean up the addresses. I went back today to do it again, and **poof** new simple interface and I can't find where to delete old addresses. I find it hard to believe that this is still an issue (Thread started in 2014 and we are in May 2016 now).

extremely annoying and perpetual, has wasted so many hours of my life I don't even want to think about it!

It'd also help (us) if they'd refrain from changing everything around every month or so (thus making any methods to fix their many, many, many problems impossinle).

Obviously this huge corporation has an interest in making this difficult to impossible so they can tretain the old addresses, being it to sell the old address as info or who knows (decent folk don't usually have to think like that).

I've been getting things sent to the wrong, random, 15 year-old addresses now for years because of this. I cannot contact anything other than a robot at pp, and have had enough.

Somewhere this is probably against the law; maybe even where I am, but do I really have $25000 to spend on lawyers to point this out? Of course not and they know it.

Again, decent folks don't behave this way the bigger the corporation the more likely it is -- but goes to show you the level of ethics these days when there's money to be made.

I just finally gave up, called the number, pressed zero about a million times (I refuse to 'talk' to robots) and surprisingly got a real person in only a few minutes. she claimed she was able to and did delete my 'hidden' addresses, so hoping. Unfortunately, the system shows an old telephone number that I can't remove, but at least I'm not getting calls there...
