Shipping Addresses

Whenever I make an online purchase using PayPal (regardless of merchant), I get a list of shipping addresses to choose from which I've used in the past but most of which are now obsolete. The default address that appears at the top of the list is an address that I haven't used in years. Is there a way to edit or clean up the default list of shipping addresses? I really only want my current address to appear and would like to delete all of the others. I can't find any place to edit shipping addresses on the PayPal site. Thanks.

I have 21 addresses that I have to sift through every time I send money. Every where I have ever lived for the last 15 years, and everyone I have ever sent a package to through paypal.
What is the time frame for getting this fixed? I am not going through the nightmare of trying to contact customer service.

Same issue. My issue is slightly different. When I use ebay I do not get to chose address and my daughter is getting machine equipment delivered to her dorm.
Wake up ebay! Self service.

I'm having the same issue, and it's ridiculous. If we have corrected and verified a new address, there's no reason all our old addresses should show up as shipping addresses. This is very annoying and it's shocking that Paypal hasn't fixed this issue.

I am having this same problem. My current shipping information is correct in my profile, yet PayPal constantly reverts to an old address when paying on a third-party site. To make matters worse, this time the wrong address overwrote the correct address that I had entered on the merchant site. I had to call this morning and correct the mailing address with the merchant. I seriously shouldn't have to worry that PayPal will change my shipping info just because I am using the site to pay for an item. I may just go back to risking my credit card numbers online. One of my shipping addresses in the list is Walmart. Really?! Because that address needed to be saved from a site to store purchase...

Where is the Paypal voice in this conversation?
We, the customer want the ability to delete our own shipping addresses.
WHY is this not available to us? -when everything else we could want to do at PP is at our own fingertips?
I am hearing impaired, making phone calls is painful to my eardurms.

Same issue. I am worried that an old address somehow is on the receipt for something I just ordered, although the merchant has my correct address on their receipt. I am not sure how that old address even got listed this time, as I don't remember the stupid list even coming up when I ordered. I wish that my OLD addresses could be deleted! And I hope my merchandise arrives OK to my current address!

I also have the same issues-- especially when paying on my mobile phone where it isn't always obvious when your shipping address is an old one. Since they save every address I put in for shipping, why can't I delete or select a default like for the billing address?

Agreed! Not only can I not delete outdated addresses, but the shipping address for purchases is wrong and checking "Make primary shipping address" does not take. Next time it's back to wrong again. Already had one purchase go astray.
Other, less major sites than Paypal handle this without difficulty. Why can't they fix?

Yes I know I can call - but why can I not just have a list and delete the invald ones. You will not even let me view them without being in a purchase mode.
I should be able to select a check box by addresses and click delete... Simple.
PayPals failure to respond to this issue says alot about techical prowness...

I just had something randomly shipped to an address that I haven't used since 2008. I had to go over there and ask the people for my package. Luckily, they were honest and gave it to me, I called customer service and her advice was to "be more careful when you order something to be shipped." What kind of advice is that? She says that they have only one address on file so they can't help me. This is the 3rd time that this has happened to me since 2008 and each time it is supposedly fixed.
