Received private message?

Talk about green - I'm really green with this community forum!

A few days ago I did sign up and started a thread about an issue I was having.

But, earlier today, I received an email, to my Paypal email address through one of my mail servers, stating that I had received a 'private message' in the Paypal Community Forum, but I would have to go to that site (valid link, doesn't look altered) and log in before I could read it.  This looks an awful lot like some of the daily scams I see floating around.

I did go to the Community Forum, but not using the link.  Once logged in here, I see NO way at all to get to an area that might hold "private messages," nor was there any notification of such when I logged on.

Suppose that actually was some kind of scam?

EDIT:  As I was leaving the forum and after posting this message, I accidentallly scrolled a bit to the right and noticed the silhouetted character in the upper right - there was definitely a circle next to it with the number "1" in it.  Yep, clickable and it took me to a personal settings area, alright, which also contained, you guessed it, a 'private message.'

Wasn't it Emily Litela who always said, "Never mind ...?"

Good to hear you found the Private Messages.   The forum recently took on a new look so you're not alone in figuring things out.

If the people designing "New Looks" put themselves in the customers/users shoes we wouldn't have to "figure it out". Everything would be obvious. Just another case of developers putting on the blinkers when it comes to design and doing more of what they like rather than what the customer needs or will like! Misguided.

Thank you~! Now I know what to look for. I still haven't found it, but I will be looking for a little "1" 😃
