PayPal wants my proof of ID, proof of address and proof of SSN?!?!?!?

Okay, seriously, so all of a sudden, just because I move to a new home, PayPal wants a picture of my SSN Card (which I don't have at all anymore), a picture of my ID (which doesn't have my CURRENT address listed obviously) and a picture of a bill with my name on it (All of the bills are in my GFs name, so obviously this is impossible). What's going on here? Why, after 10 years is changing my address a problem?

It's part of their security model and policy.  You made a change, they want proof.

I didn't change anything in my account but hit a 10k spending mark and they are putting me through the same insane BS. I refuse to give them access to my bank account but they've never had an issue getting payments. I think they want their big spenders to get and use the PayPal Credit Accounts. Think of the money they will get on interest and how they can dictate whatever interest rate they choose. We're talking big big money generated if eventually all credit card interest payments go into their pockets instead of YOUR current card linked to their account. This essenility becomes a monopoly run by ebay because they own PayPal since they bought out the conpaany. Follow the money to discover the real rational behind their account rules and changes..

What I meant to say was that they may be making it very hard to pay with any credit card other than those they issue. They also want a bank account link so they can freeze your account funds whenever disputes arise or you don't make your monthly credit card payment. think of all the interest they can access money and or interest generated off frozen accounts. Money. money, money , moneyeee!
