Mobile Phone Confirmation Error

So it says it's sent a confirmation text to my cell phone... and I typed in the correct number, but I never get the text, no matter how may times I've tried... Help?

I can't confirm my cell either. It say it's sent code, then say cell is confirmed. It's not nor have I received a code to enter via text from PayPal. Frustrating to say the least. Have you had any luck yet? Any ideas anyone?

Yes I can receive short code text, so this is not the problem!

I'm having the same problem.

 

It's been a while since I've logged into PayPal, and I'm surprised to find out I can't proceed without linking to a credit card and confirming my mobile phone.  I've gone along, because what choice do we have?  Now I'm in this stupid loop where it insists that I type in a secret code that it's not sending to me.

 

It will be an even longer while until I fool with Paypal again.

Evening Airfoyle! It's absurd really! I emailed Support yesterday, I received back the same automated email that always comes back; directing me to mobile confirm setup area. LoL. This response only confirms one thing, Paypay is NoT actually reading nor listening to the actual issues we're having. ~My main profile page states that I need to confirm my cell. (Your profile is 80% complete, verify your cell to complete) I go into that area and click on confirm and it always has one of two replies: " this cell is already confirmed" Or " we're having a problem sending the code to your cell". ~ Hopefully with one more(last attempt) contact with PayPal, can get issue resolved. If anything comes from the contact I'll get back to you here. Happy New Year!

Fails for me to I try and try but NEVER have I ever recieved the confirmation code... as a matter of fact..

I have a simple TracFone (safeLink)... maybe some day I will get a egaulr smart phone ;^_^;

 

its not worth the effort to bother with the customer support of any business thats TOO BIG,

I've likewise tried several times with no success - both from the website and from the Android app. From the site, I just never get the text; from the app, it says "confirming..." for a while and then goes back to the "Link my phone" screen. Like the OP, shortcodes are not a problem for me.

ATTENTION PAYPAL ACCOUNT HOLDERS: THERE IS AN FRADULENT E-MAIL OUT THAT LOOKS JUST LIKE THE PAYPAL SITE ASKING YOU TO VERIFY YOUR ACCOUNT BECAUSE IT'S BEEN SUSPENDED. THEN IT WILL ASK FOR YOUR PERSNAL INFO TO VERIFY!!!! I PUT IN A FAKE E-MAIL AND PW AND IT TOOK ME TO THE VERIFICATION PAGE. PLEASE BE WARE!!!

I have recently ran into the same issue with my number being unlinked from MY account without MY knowledge and I am totally in awe as I feel like they are not supposed to be able to do this at all. This occurred without either me being informed of such an issue, me being informed of the change and without informing me of the action. This goes without saying that I wasn't given any options of resolving this issue!!! I don't have the luxury of two numbers and cannot (nor will not) change my number for many significant reasons. I have contacted support regarding this issue...we'll see what they have to say about this.
