I can't upgrade to a Premier account

Hey, everyone.

 

I'm having some issues...I'm trying to work on getting crowdfunding through Indiegogo, and I'm really new to PayPal. So, by default, I chose a Personal. Apparently, Indiegogo's rules are it either has to be a Premier or Business account. I don't have a business, so I tried to upgrade to Premier...but it doesn't give me this option.

 

Can someone tell me how to solve this problem? I wasn't able to find much through the customer support phone line. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

If the steps below don't work or the upgrade option is not there, here's two other options for contacting customer support:

Twitter @AskPayPal or via Private Message on their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/PayPal

 

 

 

 

  1. Log in to your PayPal account.
  2. Click Upgrade Account.
  3. Click Upgrade Now.
  4. Choose Business or Premier account.
  5. Click Continue.
  6. For a Business account, fill in your business information and click Continue.

Alas, six months later and this no longer works. Only offers to let you upgrade to BUsiness account. Seems like they are phasing out the Premier option and not letting any new upgrades do it, but cant find anything that verifies this.
