Device not known and phone number to validate is incorrect

I have just tried logging into Paypal and I am told that my device I am using is unknown so need to go through validation. I am then prompted to select " send by text" and then "a phone number which is incorrect" - how do I change my phone number so that I can be validated?

You will probably need to call PayPal customer service so they can confirm your identity by asking multiple questiosn. If successful, they can then make changes.
In order to delete a phone number you would need to add a new number and then delete the old one.
