Change e-mail address

 I have one e-mail address listed which is primary.  I have now changed my e-mail address but can't see how to do this for paypal account.  Nothing else has changed.  Any advice?

These steps apply to Personal PayPal accounts. If you have a Business account, please log in to your account to see the steps that apply to you.

You may add up to eight email addresses to your PayPal account. Remember that each email address can only be associated to one PayPal account at a time.

Here’s how to add an email address:

1. Log in to your PayPal account.
2. Click the Profile icon next to "Log out."
3. Click Update next to Email.

If you want to change your current email address, simply add a new address and remove your old one.

I too have had an email address change.  My primary paypal email account is no longer viable.  I added my new email address but i am unable to remove the old one because it is my primary.  I have also tried to edit the email address to my new one and I am unable to edit it because it is the primary.

I no longer have any access to my old email address because I have changed providers.  I contacted paypal regarding this before the change took place and I received no response.  To date I have still haven't heard from them.  Do I need to cancel this paypal account that I have had forever and open a new one?

If you make the new one primary you should be able to remove the old one.

Try logging on with your new one first.

I have recently changed my e-mail address but payments are being paid to my old address shortly will they be bounced back or will paypal hold onto them for a while?

Make sure you keep all of your PayPal email address active on PayPal untll you are sure you won't be receiving funds from them.
