Return Label Scam

I've just bought a replacement laptop battery. The seller sent the wrong model, and has agreed to a return. He sent me a link to print a return label. However when I tried to print this I was taken to a Paypal page where I had to agree to three actions: 1/ I had to set up a new billing arrangement, 2/ I had to link my bank account to my Paypal account effectively giving Paypal free access to my funds, and 3/ I had to agree to set up a credit arrangement of my Paypal account. I'm sure that such coercion is illegal. All of this before I could print the return label - but I had to agree in order to print the return label.
And now I have received an email from Paypal stating that I have been joined to OneTouch - whatever that is - without my authorisation.
I am alerting the Financial Ombudsman (UK) to this criminal scam, and other via social media such as Facebook and Trustpilot.
