Information given to a seller

I was wondering if a small business seller sends a buyer an invoice, does PayPal automatically send the seller the buyer’s personal information (mailing address, etc.)? I am asking because I had a seller send me an invoice that I cancelled and would rather this person not have my home address.

Did you customize the invoice to have the information your want on it.  You can make your own template to fit your needs.

I’m the buyer, not the seller. I didn’t create the invoice, just received it, then cancelled it. I just don’t know what info, if any, is given to a seller about the buyer.

There seller will always be given your mailing address when you make a payment.

What buyer information and address was on the invoice you received?

What information did you give the seller before the seller sent the invoice?

I had made a payment to the seller 3 months ago, but then opened a dispute with PayPal when I never received the item and the seller wasn’t responding to my inquiries. The case closed in my favor, but the seller kept sending me invoices to cover her fees from opening the dispute. I cancelled them since I do not believe I owe any money to her. I moved since that initial payment and no not want her to have my new address since she has been so hostile. That’s why I am hoping that her sending me invoices doesn’t automatically give her my most current info if I cancel them.

if you have bought from this seller before, she has your address .

But you said you have moved,so if she wants to know your new address,it wont be from Paypal,it couldbe from USPS if you have asked them to forward mail.

As far as I know your new mailing address will not be given to the seller.

You should ignore all emails and invoices from the seller.  Don't give the seller any indication you even exist.

Thank you to both of you 🙂 I know she could find it through other means, but glad to know it likely won’t be through PayPal. Here’s to hoping she’s as lazy as she is crazy and won’t bother researching if it’s extra effort 🙂
