Hi Community, basically I'm trying to determine what my risk is for giving out my Paypal email and accepting a payment from someone I don't know. My sense is that requiring a Verified account is the way to go, but I'm wpondering if there's some way people can scam verified acccounts as well. I'm not even sure how someone could scam a Paypal account, so perhaps that's the broader question. Can someone make a payment from a source that is not verified, then receive the item and withdraw the money somehow? Are there any other strategies for making sure the sender's money is legit? My other instinct is to simply not hand out any information other than the Paypal email, and withhold information like Address and Cell Phone until after the payment is verified. What else am I missing?
Thanks so much for any advice on this issue.
