I'm completely new to this & need help... Received an email from interested party & sent a few back & forth, said he sent money & would be getting emails from PayPal. This morning when I set up my PayPal acct emails were in my inbox, the ones later about the money transfer were in my spam folder. The emails stated the amount requested plus $1100 for the hauler were going to be deposited to my PayPal account after I went to a western union or moneygram & sent $1100 to the hauler. Is this a scam?

Hi jmc284,
Unfortunately yes, this is a scam. PayPal will never ask you to send funds via another payment processor such as Western Union and you will always be able to see the funds in your PayPal account balance when you've received a payment. We'd ask that you please forward these emails to us at spoof@paypal.com so our fraud team can investigate further.
