Seller Protection?

Is seller protection really non-existant?

I sold something via eBay on Oct 10, 2014.  In JANUARY 2015, the buyer contacted me through ebay messaging and wanted his money back... 3 Months later.

Item was sold used in good condition.  Three months later it was no longer in good condition.  He couldn't dispute through eBay or PayPal, so he disputed via his credit card company.

PayPal has debited my account, even after i provided them with pictures and description of the item BEFORE the sale.  Is there no limit on how much time can pass before someone can dispute the purchase of a USED item.

I believe I'm finished with PayPal.

Buyers now have up to 180 days to file a dispute ( the same as they do with a credit card).

No they do not... not when this was sold.  The eBay listing was GONE.
