If I get scammed on hard-copy tickets when paying through PayPal, will I be reimbursed?

Hello,

Thinking about buying a pair of Lollapalooza tickets from out of state. If, God forbid, the seller does not send tickets or they end up being a scam, will I get reimbursed from PayPal due to the purchase protection? They are hard copy tickets.

Thanks,
Nicole

For mailed items you get protection for non-delivery, that's it.

You do not get protection for non-as-described.  You need to make absolutely certain your seller is an authorized seller of the tickets.

If the tickets are not as described, you will not be able to prove that the PayPal.  In such a dispute it is seller's word against buyer's word and PayPal make a decsion.  If PayPal rules for buyer you will still need to return the tickets at your expense with tracking to show return.

If fraud is involved it could be different.

In any case it is BUYER BEWARE.

With item not as described,Paypal will ask the buyer to return the item and refund his payment when tracking shows delivered.

Since Paypal cannot tell who is telling the truth, this is best way to be fair to both parties, seller gets his merchandise back and buyer gets his money back.

case closed.

buyer pays return shipping with tracking

There are reputable dealers of tickets, no need to through this route with some one-off seller.

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
