A buyer claims he hasn't recieved an item purchased from me and has filed a dispute. Normally I wouldn't put up a fuss but on the buyers Ebay feedback , 5 other sellers have stated he has made the same claim. I didn't read these til it was too late and they're hard too see since you can't leave negative feedback for buyers. He never contacted me through Ebay, he started the dispute then escalated it to a claim within minutes. I feel he's trying to get something for nothing.
I shipped it Priority but did not put delivery confirmation on the package (last time for that). Now that it's a claim I need to respond. The options to respond are: 1)Refund, 2)provide tracking number, 3)proof already refunded.
My question is: My only choice is to respond to refund buyer. If I do this, is that it? Does the buyer get his refund or does Paypal investigate then either refund the purchase price or deny the claim?
It's not alot of money so it's not the end of the world. But he appears to make a habit of not recieving items and I don't want to just "give in" without trying to draw attention to what he's doing.
