I bought items from a game item seller. Did not receive anything since they wanted money in the form of Western Union or Bitcoins and held my money hostage until I paid in those ways.
Opened case and case was closed in seller's favor after they provided a tracking number.
Right now I opened an appeal for incomplete delivery.
I've already filed BBB complaint, credit card chargeback, and I'm in the process of filing a police report against paypal for theft.
Just to let everyone else here know. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING THAT CANNOT BE SHIPPED. PAYPAL HAS 0 PROTECTION FOR VIRTUAL ITEMS DESPITE THEIR 'NEW POLICY'.
ACTUALLY STOP USING PAYPAL ALL TOGETHER.

Correct, PayPal is not good for virtual purchases.
On the other hand, it seems that there were sufficient red flags to NOT make the purchase: Bitcoin is invovled. Request payment by Western Union.
It is important to research selling sites before making a purchace and then to understand the risks.

Asking buyer for WESTERN Union payment is a flag already.
Paypal is not a good payment method for non physical goods, did you read the feedback of the seller before you buy?
Is this an Ebay transaction?
Ebay does not allow Western Union,it must be either Paypal or direct credit card payment, unless it is a local pickup, then it is either Paypal or cash.
If this is an Ebay transaction, when they said they want Western Union or bitcoin and hold your money hostage, you should call Ebay right away and complain and ask Ebay to refund you the money.
