Bank Reversal Scam

Basically what happened was I sold an ebok to some guy and he sent the payment as physical item to scam me.I delivered the ebook he wanted and then a few days later,opened up a chargeback.I asked him why the **bleep** he opened up a chargeback and he said "Lol (profanity)"

2 days after that the chargeback failed as it was ruled in my favor.I notifyied him of this and I told him to get lost as he was a chargeback scammer.Then 5 minutes later my account was in the negatives (-11.05)I looked at the payment he sent me and it said "reversed".He then continued to brag on skype saying how he got a free ebook and his money and he was also bragging on how he reported my account and how they are going to IP trace me and limit my account

Will my account get limited?

And how come paypal just let this scammer get his way?

Highly unlikely your account would be limited cus a buyer did a chargeback !!!!!

However the reason you were scammed is that their is no seller protection on paypal for virtual items, you can sell them but at your own risk.

OK you did not say it had left you with a neg balance, in which case just pay it off and you won't have to worry about it being limited.

Chargebacks are done directly by a buyer via their credit card company, paypal don't decide the outcome.

However they will reimburse you if you lose out in certain situations if you met the criteria of seller protection.

As digital items are not covered by seller protection then you did not meet that criteria.
