Refund, Replacement, Anything??

I purchased 2 pair of new Converse shoes at the end of June 2017. My husband started wearing the shoes in July. Both pairs have come apart. The first pair we just chalked it up as "stuff happens" and threw them out.  Now the second pair has come apart! $100 for 2 pair of shoes that did not even last 4 months.  I contacted the seller and she refused to help. She told me that I needed to contact Converse.  I didn't buy the shoes from Converse. I feel as if I should be refunded money for at least 1 pair or have a pair replaced.  I have been on ebay for YEARS and have never had a problem before or even left anyone a bad feedback.  I feel like the shoes have lasted longer. I tried to start a claim with paypal but could not get it to go through.  Is there anything I can do?  Im really upset about this!!
