I had the same issue.  I contacted PayPal a few months ago about it and they indicated PayPal Here would be compatible with Galaxy Tablets in September.  So, hopefully it will be available soon.

An option could be to go with another reader like Square.....I believe they are compatible with Tablets running Android 3.2 or later.

I was wondering a couple things.

1. I setup a product list on my iPad and then login to Paypal here hoping my product list would be synced with my iPhone or other mobile approved device but sadly this did not happen. Are there plans in the near future to be able to set up a Product List that is synced to any approved device once you login to the PayPal Here app?

2. I have wanted to use Paypal Here as a POS option. Will there be an update in the future that will give the end user inventory tracking capabilities?

Yes those features would make paypal here app much more valuable my use as well.

This would put Paypal Here in line with Square Up.

I also would like to see a feature like square up in which they host an online marketplace where you can sell your products from your account within square up. I have used square up quite a bit but they don't offer inventory mgmt levels.

Is there something I need to know about using the PayPal Here App's "Description" Field?  It appears to serve absolutely no purpose.  Other than to confuse sellers into thinking any information entered would be retrievable later.

We were planning on selling tickets to events using the Here app, and entering the customer's name and email address in the field labeled "Enter a description (optional)."  All tickets would be virutal, and customers would be checked against a list at the event.  However, in testing, we realized that any information entered in this field is lost forever.

It is not in the receipt customers receive.

It is not in the email notification our business gets.

It is not in the PayPal –> Hisotry –> IPN History

It is not in the PayPal transaction details.

It is not in the PayPal transaction’s invoice.

It is nowhere.  We will be using Square for now.  But I'd love it if there were a way to make the description entered in this field actually appear somewhere, so we could use PayPal.

Unless someting has changed with the recent updates, the "Description" field was used for identifying particular items I sold. I just went back into my history and emaild myself an old invoice and it did show on it. Now I must admit that I have not used it since the new update.

When I emailed myself it does NOT show on the first email page. I had to click "View your Reciept", and anything that I typed in the description was there.

I use the Paypal Here app on my Samsung Galaxy S II phone. I wanted to use it on a tablet with a larger screen so I purchased a Nexus 10 (by Samsung) only to find out that the Paypal Here app is not compatible with a Nexus 10. Why is the app not compatible with a Nexus 10 tablet? Are there any plans to make the Paypal Here app compatible with the Nexus 10 or other android tablets? Thank you.

Hooked up my card reader to test, thank God, glad I did not take it to my event without testing. Anywant... does not work. Give me the error message: The operation cound'nt be completed (PLATFORM error 580031.)

Please help. I see this is pretty common.
