Pay Pal my cash- error code 203-THEY ARE ROBBING PEOPLE BLIND-HELP!!!

my boyfriend and I are currently dealing with the same issue for several months now. My boyfriend bought two pay pal my cash cards in the same day, one for $20 and one for $480.  The $20 one loaded immediately.  The $480 one however-when I went to load it the same way as the first one I got an error code. As instructed, I went to paypal.com/cash I entered the 10 digit PIN and it prompts me to log in to pay pal.  After logging in, it tells me "Sorry, the redemtpion of your My Cash card could not be completed at this time.  Please try again and if the problem isn't resolved, then call My Cash card customer service at 855-721-5035"

My cash error code=203

That number however is an automated system and there is no option whatsoever to speak to a representative. My boyfriend finally was able to get ahold of an actual person with pay pal and they told him he had to send an email of his ID, front and back of pay pal my cash card and the receipt for the purchase. He was given a ticket# at that time then was told to call back in 24 hours to see if they recieved the email.  Called back in 24 hours they did not get the email.  Said to resend it and  call back again in another 24 hours.  Called back, they said that they got it and that we needed to call back in another 24 hours to tell them that we sent it again(what???) Did not make any sense at all!! At that time they decided to tell us that when we call pay pal cash customer service number, when asked to enter in the PIN to hit 0 and # at the SAME TIME-THREE TIMES repeatedly until it gives you the option to speak to a representative!  What a joke!!! This was around christmas time and Due to the holidays and life we gave it a rest for a few weeks because it was getting exhausting.   So....called back a couple weeks later. They said that they did not get an email and that we needed to resend it(surprise!!)  We resent the email and called back in 24 hours to be told that they still did not get it.  THEN THIS PARTICULAR PERSON TOLD US THAT WE SHOULD "TRY" THIS "OTHER" EMAIL ADDRESS BECAUSE "MAYBE" THE OTHER ONE WAS NOT WORKING.  (REALLY?!?!) So they gave us another email-and within 20 minutes got a response email back confirming that they recieved it!!  So we called back and told them we sent it, got a confirmation email and wanted to know what to do next...they said they needed a chance to "review" the email and for us to call back in ANOTHER 24 HOURS to check on the status!   Called back, they said that they got the information and that the issue should be fixed and to try loading it.  I had been trying to load the card every day and told them that and told them that we would try again while on the phone.  We did, and still got the same error code and did not load.  The lady then put us on hold and told us that we sent the wrong information in the email and we needed to RESEND!!  SO WE DID. And of course had to call back in 24-48 hours to check on the status!  We called back!  FINALLY, they said that they had the correct information and that the problem should be resolved!  We were so excited, considering it is now February and have been without our $480-which was for christmas presents that they **bleep** us on!  So we tried again!  Same error code!! Called back!  They asked what we used to look up the website(computer, phone,tablet) and asked what search engine we used! (WHAT??) Said that we tried on both our iphones, our Mac computer, Ipad AND regular PC computer and none of them worked!  After being put on hold several times, the representative told us that the pay pal cash cards and the website was NOT compatible with safari so that was the problem. I laughed in there face and told them that we used other devices and search engines and also mentioned that the first pay pal cash card loaded instantly using my iphone AND safari.  He proceeded to tell me he did not know and then said that maybe my pay pal account was not verified(?) and told me to call Pay Pal customer service to see if my account was verified-the account that I have had for THREE YEARS!  I then asked if we could just get a refund check because we were sick of all the **bleep** and they said they could not do that and that Pay Pal had to do that.  SO...called pay pal customer service. The lady acted like she acutally cared and put me on hold to talk to pay pal cash customer service herself..she then connected me to a representative with pay pal cash.  This guy apologized for the run around and told me that he didnt know why they told me safari was not compatible and that just simply was not true! I asked him for a refund check.  He said he was not able to issue it and that I had to do it online! He told me to go to paypal.com/cash-login-go to FAQS, click on the question "how can i request a refund for an unused my cash card" and that it would walk me through the steps!  Sounded easy enough! So hung up and tried it!  Needless to say it doesnt work!  Its like the website just doesnt work!  I logged in to pay pal cash and clicked on the question i was told to in FAQS and it says to "click here" to log in to my cash.  So I clicked and it takes me back to the same page i was at and i login again!  Go to FAQS again and it continues to take me back to the same page.  So basically just going around in circles gettting no where!  After reading some forums about similar problems someone said to click on the question that says "why couldnt pay pal verify my information" so i did that.  When i clicked on that Q, it says a bunch of BS and then says to "click here" to request a refund!  So i did!!  And guess what??  takes me back to the home page to do the same game i was doing before!  That is the last Ive tried, and yes I tried doing it from multiple devices and computers-tried restarting/rebooting, everything i can think of and nothing!  Needless to say we ARE FED UP and Im really starting to think that Pay pal and the pay pal cash is an absolute JOKE and a SCAM!!  I have read several forums about similar issues and its gotta be a scam!  They are robbing people of their money and simply not giving it back!  It seems that some people are getting theirs but many who haven't!Im going to call them back and tell them its not working to see what they say but not holding my breath!  If ANYONE OUT THERE HAS ANY ADVICE OR ANYTHING THAT MIGHT HELP PLEASE PLEASE REPLY TO ME!!  At this point we want to sue them because its just wrong but for $480 im sure they would somehow take us for all we have and still not pay up!  They ruined our christmas and have been "holding" our $480 for EIGHT WEEKS NOW!  We just want our money back!!

My boyfriend and I got a pay pal my cash card for $480 before Christmas. Have been getting error code 203 ever since. Have spoken to over a dozen pay pal cash AND pay pal customer service representatives and have been lied to and given the run around for 8 weeks now. We have done everything they have asked of us yet they still are making it incredibly difficult and literally EVERY time we call we are instructed to call back in 24-48 Hrs Due to a new "problem" that sounds like they are making up-anything from systems being down to we are waiting for it to be reviewed-and it's to the point now we are trying to get a refund check and are unable to do that! If anyone has experienced this or has any thoughts or advice at all please please reply to this. We are starting to think we will never be getting our money back! It ruined our Christmas!!

My suggestion is that you put all that clearly and accurately in date order of what has happened also saying that you have phoned many times without resolution and send it to   >>>

Take 10 minutes to submit a government claim. Even if it's been resolved for some time, submitting a claim to a government agency helps us all!

 

i would select the PayPal option and not the incomm option but you can file for both!

To anyone worring about the 203 error problem and freaking out about it, the same thing happened to me, but my issue was resolved within 24 hours. I called promptly within 15 minutes of purchase (so no hacking issue with me) I called the number from the error page and gave the person my name address and number and also information from my receipt and the number from the MyCash card then had to take a photo of my id the receipt and mycashcard. Then next day receive an email from (email address removed) letting me know I could input my information again and it should work.

i personally suspect the 203 error may be from the store which your purchased putting a stop on the payment (for whatever reason). Judging from the email (email address removed) this is some sort of fraud counter measure which is being intentionally implented I personally won't be dealing with this **bleep** again,but if anyone needs to use this service I would recommend generating a barcode directly on your mobile phone through PayPal.com.

just wanted to allay fears and give advice. (Don.'t deal with them, but if you have to, generate your own barcode on Paypal's website don't be the physical PayPal incom card)
