Check Capture images disappeared from iphone mobile app after update

I recently updated to the new PayPal iOS app (which while I usually like change, I like much less than the old app). The problem I'm having is I use check capture a lot and when I look at my history on my iphone app I no longer can see the saved images of the checks prior to updating the app. Without these images I have no way of knowing which check capture goes with which client/invoice. I'm now getting netcheck notices of these checks clearing into my paypal account but have no idea whIch checks are which. Many occur on the same date and for the same amount. It appears for new captures (made after the app update) these images are still being saved, but where can I find them for checks captured before the update and clearing after the update? I read the change log on the update before upgrading and it didn't say anything about losing history.

I successfully got a transaction from the PayPal Here app to display in my PayPal account.  It was a check transaction however, when I got to the check scanning process I get an error, from within the app saying "An error occurred initializing check capture."  Repeated "Retry's" got the same result.  Is this part of the app broken?

I completely agree.  I use Check Capture and need to see the images of the checks as they are processed.  The old version of the app was much better than the latest release.  Please tell your mobile team they dropped a great feature of the old app.

NaeNae78 - I have no idea what that has to do with this thread, perhaps you should start your own topic for your issue.

 

ewlarson -The app shows new check captures taken after the update, it just lost the captures that were made before the update.  I suspect they're getting saved on the phone in the app, whereas they ought to get saved to our paypal account.

I'm sorry that you all encountered issues with the check capture functionality of the PayPal application. I'm happy to report that a fix is now in place! 🙂
