using paypal without verification

is it possible to use my paypal account without verifying it using a bank account?

Yes, but some features are limited though, like spending/receiving limits, can't withdraw to bank or nor receive payments through APIs, or PayPal buttons.

Then you will need to Verify your account by adding and confirming credit, prepaid or debit card and a bank account to have full access to features and receive money from third party sites.  You can add bank and card at the Wallet page.
