If I use the request money from anyone option instead of creating an invoice will I still get charged paypal fees?

Yes.
The only way to not pay fees is if the buyer uses the friends / family option, HOWEVER...
But its against Paypal rules to sell and use the family / friends option.
It can lead to your paypal account being suspended AND loses you your seller protection.
Whilst a buyer could not open a paypal dispute they CAN do a chargeback via their card issuer if they used it to fund that payment and then you would lose as you would have no seller protection.
Advice is voluntary.
