I wanted to order some prints from snapfish. I have the money in my paypal account. they accept paypal. but when I try it shows that paypal is needing a credit card. I don't have a credit card associated with my account. I use it only to have credits put into my account so I can buy stuff on ebay and other places that accept paypal.  I have enough money in my account without it.  So my question it, has anyone ever had this problem before? Snapfish says it is paypal that is the problem and paypal says it is snapfish.  Can someone help me?

Some tranasactions are higher risk than others and PayPal requires a backup credit card funding source in case your ank account fails.

So, will need to find a way to add a credit card if you want to continue such purchases.

Would I be able to use a prepaid credit card that isn't the kind that has fees?

You would have to get a prepaid card that you can register at the card issuer site and get mailed a personalized card so PayPal can verify card ownership and you can manage the card account (check balance, add money, etc).

which also means that it will have a monthly charge on the account. so I guess I won't be doing that.  Thank you so much for your help.

Get a debit card, they got free/low fee ones but it has to be cards that you can register, like these:
