From what I can see, there is already a post regarding an issue of balances not showing up properly. I understand that.
However, my fiance in the US just sent me 20 today on top of a 130 send last week, because he likes to keep me well fed and stuff, yet when I check my account instead of 150 USD it shows 140.43 USD. That's Furthermore, there is a series of three (?) currency exchage transactions which I never authorised.
What is going on, why am I missing money? And what's with these transactions. Am I going to get my money back. Are these hidden fees? If so they dont make any sense and I literally did nothing to the money sitting in my account since the first bit of the should-be 150 amount.
I understand there's an ongoing issue but that doesn't explain why the money is only partially missing. As well, that post seems to be almost a week old and I have no idea if it's that same issue persisting here, it doesn't seem to be as the money my fiance sent is all from an instant bank transfer so it would all be missing if it was indeed a glitch, not half of it as though part of it was garnished by paypal... for reasons unknown.

oops no nevermind, those were purchases, it's only these three transactions shown in the screencap which are of this random missing manner.
I checked the fees as you said sharpiemaker, and all of them show fee: 0
Once again I repeat, I have no issue with fees, but this is missing money and I'm sure you understand why I need to understand what is happening, and I cannot let this go until I understand how my money is being dealt with/why it is missing.
I tried calling paypal but there does not seem to be any real person on the other end.

It is not random exchange rate, read PAYPAL terms ,it is real time per bank rate,so when the foreign exchange market is open, you get whatever the rate is in effect when Paypal makes the conversion, there is also a bid and ask price.
Paypal also charges 2 1/2 % for doing the conversion .
notice you receive money on Sept 10 which is a Sunday, but the conversion takes effect Sept 12 which is Monday.
look into your account and see how you set up your preference,Canadians may be able to set up two bank accounts, one in US dollars, one in Canadian dollars,
You can also set to receive, convert, block certain foreign currencies.

Are you US citizen who is now in CANADA?
Do you have a US bank account?
Link that bank account to your Canadian PAYPAL account, your boyfriend can do online banking and send money to your US bank account using ACH,bank to bank transfer and it is free. and outside PAYPAL.
Then you can avoid Paypal fees.
what you do with the money once it landed in your US bank account linked to your Canadian Paypal account, you have to find out.

you dont need Paypal to receive money into your US bank account, your boyfriend can do it online from his bank site.,and it is a domestic transfer via ACH,it could take a few days though.

I understand that, and thank you, but I use paypal for many reasons, ebay, bandcamp, online shopping, and I'd really like to figure out what happened with my money. If it's a fee, I'm fine with that, but a) the amount is higher than fee percentage b) it's three transactions on a 100 + 30 amount, both gifts, which were sitting in my account, and they show fees: 0, c) it says currency conversion to CAD but my CAD balance is 0.
I've tried calling but I cannot reach a real person. I want to keep using paypal, but I cannot just let random glitches go I need to understand what is going on.

I switched the rest of my money to my bank account last night as a precaution so none of the remaining amount were glitched up. I made a 4.00 USD bandcamp purchase since this issue, prior to that there was 140.43 USD, after that it showed 136.43 USD, and I withdrew 136.00 USD last night which was converted to 175.11 CAD. That missing amount was from the usd, and my CAD balance was and remains 0. I dont understand what's happening. ._. It's always been fine to leave a balance sitting in paypal for months, and this was only for a week or so.

2 1/2% plus exchange rate.
Paypal called it exchange fee/conversion fee,it does not spell out like 2 1/2 %= $$$,and conversion rate we used is XXX.
It does not pay to send $10 .

Wait, paypal taked 50% fees now?? Or an I reading that wrong.
unless, wait, okay, 2 and 1/2%, but 2 1/2% cannot result in that amount. I've also never had this happen before.
I've been trying to contact paypal but I cannot reach a real person and there is no response to my emails. I don't know what to do.
I'm not sure what you mean by it does not pay to send 10$?

I want to reiterate that the 130 was sitting in my account for over a week before this random missing amount happened, I would think if it was a fee it would happen right away? Unless paypal charges based on money sitting ion the account, but I've never had that happen before, and even if paypal converted it to fees there's no showing of fee amount, it's just missing money from a conversion. it does not say where the conversion went, and when I check each transaction of sent money it says fee: 0.
