can't get help with a WRONG resolution

I tried for a week to communicate with PayPal. I could find no other way but email. I was trying to get an answer about a vendor/charge. I just needed to know what the charge was and from whom, because I didn't remember it. FINALLY I got the info about the vendor and recognized the charge. I have tried numerous times now to inform PayPal that I DO recognize the charge, both by email and phone msg. However, I received a msg this morning saying that the resolution was that the charge was not authorized but THAT IS NOT RIGHT. The charge WAS authorized. I don't want it revoked, but once again I cannoot reach anyone. When I call the customer service contact # and enter the case # it gives me info about some charge with a different date and DIFFERENT amount and I don't think that info is even connected with me. WHAT??? Online, it shows only that the charge was determined to be unauthorized. ALL OF THIS IS INCORRECT. HOW does one get stuff straightened out with Pay Pal??????????????
